Saturday morning the husband ran Battlefrog so I took the kids to Rustic Road Farm and then to Engstrom park. The goats and chickens walking around the farm were great. The kids had a lot of petting the animals and checking out the farm. The new Engstrom park was really nice. Its open enough so you can see your kids from any part of the playground. Of course the best and most popular feature was the zip line. I was very impressed by all the kids waiting in line very patiently. There are picnic tables which is great for lunch. It also has a new rubber surface which is great for kids that are a little clumsy.
Sunday I took the younger boys to breakfast and then started moving mulch by 8:30am. That continued until around 3pm when the tired set in and we needed a break for the day. The kids were happy because we had pizza with the neighbors.
Monday morning got up and Noah and I ran to the middle school with the neighbor. Then Colleen and I did our mile time trial. Mine was 7:53. Several times I felt like stopping, nauseous, chest tightening but I stuck it out and finished. I think my body isn't used to the heat yet. Plus it was nice to have Noah there. After getting home we continued to move mulch until about 4. I am so glad it is finally done. So much work but the yard looks great. I did managed to put sunscreen on everyone but myself yesterday so I am a little red today but not bad.
So all in all last week was busy as usual but good. Kids had fun swimming in the gym pool and the park and farm and playing with their friends, and I feel like I got a lot done.
